Hell's Kitchen 3 Controls
PC and mobile inputs for stations, lobby, shop, Sprint, and spectate.
Hell’s Kitchen 3 punishes sloppy inputs as hard as burnt steaks. Chop strokes that stop short, mix gestures that drift, and mobile thumbs that miss Serve prompts create raw tickets and nomination targets. This page is your input reference for PC and mobile: station meters, movement, Sprint, the codes cart, lobby navigation, and spectating after you are eliminated. Pair it with How to Cook for station order and Getting Started for first-session flow.
Default movement and camera
PC
- Move with WASD (or your Roblox remaps).
- Mouse looks; keep sensitivity high enough to check fry meters behind you without spinning circles.
- Jump with Space for obbies, Dishwasher Dash, and dorm searches in Minigames.
- Walk into proximity prompts on Pantry shelves, Fridge doors, boards, and appliances, then press the interact key (default E on many keyboards, or click the on-screen prompt).
Mobile
- Left thumbstick moves; right drag looks.
- Tap on-screen Jump for parkour challenges.
- Tap glowing interact buttons when you are in range—do not stand outside the radius mashing.
- Enable a comfortable UI scale in Roblox settings so Chop/Mix meters are not thumb-blocked.
Lock a stable frame rate when you can. Higher, steadier FPS makes meter feedback easier to read on Chop and Mix, which is why many PC chefs unlock frames before serious seasons.
Chop meter controls
Chopping requires placing an ingredient on the board, then driving the chop gesture.
PC: Hold the interact/click as prompted and move the mouse up and down through the meter. Complete, even strokes beat tiny shakes. Finish one ingredient fully before loading the next.
Mobile: Press and drag in the vertical motion the UI expects. Use the whole thumb pad, not a tiny jitter. If the device is slippery, pause micro-adjustments until the stroke registers.
Missed strokes leave unfinished cuts and tank accuracy. If Gordon is already yelling, slow the gesture—speed comes from fewer retries, not faster panic.
Mix and Blend meters
Mix and Blend use guided motion prompts similar to Chop but with their own timing windows.
PC: Follow the on-screen direction while holding the required input. Keep the cursor path smooth; spastic circles fail mixes as often as incomplete chops. Unlocking FPS can make the animation read clearer so you hit the completion point once.
Mobile: Drag along the indicated path. Anchor your wrist on the device edge for stability during long mixes. Do not multitask a second finger on Jump mid-mix unless you like failed sauces.
You can start Mix/Blend while a Fry or Oven runs, but only if you can still see or recall the cook meter—see halfway timing in How to Cook.
Oven, Boil, and Fry interaction
These stations are mostly start → watch meter → collect.
- Interact to place the item and begin cooking.
- Watch the progress bar.
- Interact again near the halfway quality window to pull.
PC: Click/press interact on approach; do not spam the key while the bar is still low or you may cancel awkwardly. Strafe with WASD to keep the station centered while you chop nearby.
Mobile: Tap once to start, reposition your camera so the bar stays visible, tap again to collect. Avoid covering the meter with your own stick thumb.
If Fire Outbreaks or wildcards hit, extinguish or reroute before obsessing over a buried prompt—details in Wildcard Rounds.
Assemble and Serve prompts
Open Assemble when components are ready, confirm the plating UI, then move to the pass and Serve.
PC: Interact to open Assemble, complete the clicks, walk/strafe to service, interact to Serve. Some players open Assemble while already pathing toward the pass to save a beat—practice in quiet pre-service first.
Mobile: Tap Assemble, verify every slot filled, tap Serve at the counter. Double-check you are close enough; mobile prompts are distance-sensitive and love wasting a second.
Never Serve with a missing icon. The lamb sauce joke exists because people mash Serve early.
Sprint (game pass)
Sprint is a Robux game pass advantage in Standard mode. Difficult disables Sprint along with power-ups.
PC: Use the Sprint bind shown in your pass/controls UI (often Shift-style depending on Roblox and experience settings). Sprint between Pantry, Fridge, and cook islands—not while precision-chopping.
Mobile: Hold or toggle the on-screen Sprint control if the pass is owned. Release before delicate meter work.
If you lack Sprint, tighten routes instead of complaining. Pre-plan paths from Getting Started and win with meter skill. Compare pass value on the Tier List Hub before buying.
Shop cart and codes entry
Coins and power-ups flow through the shop overlay.
- Click/tap the shopping cart icon on the HUD.
- Find Enter a code… (or equivalent Codes field).
- Type the code carefully—case and spelling matter.
- Submit and confirm Coins updated.
- Buy power-ups for the upcoming service before the clock starts screaming.
On mobile, if the cart is hidden behind other buttons, open the experience menu and look for Shop/Codes. Keep a note of live rewards from Codes. Do not try to redeem mid-Chop; finish the station, then open UI.
Lobby navigation
After loading Hell’s Kitchen 3:
- Walk the redesigned hub; find cosmetics and social spaces if you want, but prioritize the join circle / start pad.
- Stand inside the circle until the season populates (four-plus players).
- After the Red/Blue split, follow signage or the crowd to your kitchen. Learn both color layouts so shuffles do not disorient you.
- Between services, dorms and challenge teleports move you automatically—do not fight the fade.
PC players should keep interact free for pad prompts; mobile players should avoid covering the join button with chat.
Spectate after elimination
When you are voted out (and decline or lack a revive):
- You typically enter a spectator state with camera on remaining chefs or free look depending on the current build.
- Use spectate to call fires, Imposter disables, and ticket advice if the lobby listens.
- Study meter pulls of strong finalists—free coaching for your next queue.
- Navigate any spectate UI with the same mouse/tap look controls; do not AFK if you plan to revive later.
Revives (Robux) return you to active play when offered—decide using the framework in How to Win.
Accessibility and quality-of-life tips
- Remap Roblox movement if WASD conflicts with muscle memory from other games, but keep interact reachable.
- Lower camera shake if fires and Ragefall make you nauseous.
- On mobile, play in landscape for wider meter visibility.
- Mute overwhelm if voice lines stack during chaos, but keep SFX that telegraph boils and timers if available.
- Stretch hands between minigames—Chop Til You Drop is a wrist workout.
Practice drills (five minutes)
- Enter a Standard lobby and perform ten clean chops without a failed stroke.
- Start a fry, mix a sauce, return for a halfway pull.
- Open the cart, close it, reopen, redeem any new Codes.
- Run one Obstacle Course focusing on jump timing, not speed records.
- If eliminated, spectate a full service narrating meters quietly to yourself.

Clean inputs win plates. Plates win averages. Averages keep you off the block long enough to chase the Black Jacket.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for chefs fighting through Hell's Kitchen 3.
How do I chop on PC versus mobile?
On PC, hold the interact/click and move the mouse up and down through the meter. On mobile, press and drag in the vertical motion the UI shows until the chop completes.
Does Sprint work in Difficult mode?
No. Difficult mode disables Sprint and power-ups. Sprint is a Standard-mode advantage tied to the game pass.
Where is the codes button?
Open the shopping cart icon on the HUD and use the Enter a code field. On mobile, check the in-game menu if the cart is hidden.
Can I still help after elimination?
Yes. Spectate mode lets you watch remaining chefs and call out fires, sabotage, or ticket advice while you wait for the finale or a revive offer.
